Meet Our Barbers

Say Hello to LJ & Teaj

Lance “LJ” Teachworth

St. Paul native Lance “LJ” Teachworth is the owner of Groveland Barbershop. A Cretin graduate, LJ went on to receive a degree in Spanish from the University of Montana, and graduated from Minnesota School of Barbering. A true Renaissance man, LJ is also a licensed yoga instructor, a fan of the Grateful Dead, plays many styles of guitar, is trained in aerial acrobatics and has made the pilgrimage to the Burning Man festival many times.

LJ’s love for the community and passion for people has made Groveland Barbershop a local favorite. Visitors  are greeted by a warm and friendly environment, and usually LJ’s favorite four-legged friend, Finn, the shop’s hard-working mascot.

Teaj Stone Fox

Teaj has been cutting, coloring, and styling hair since the ’90s. Cosmetology runs in their blood; their twin brother is a professional cosmetologist and their grandmother was also a cosmetologist. After raising their children, and becoming a multi-faceted circus performer, Teaj met their anchor-mate LJ (yes, THIS LJ!) and realized the dream of cutting hair was still very much alive, attending the Minnesota School of Barbering and earning their license in 2020.

Teaj brings a ton of creative energy to the Groveland Barbershop. Fades, mullets, all textures of hair, graphic designs, fun colors, you’re in great hands with Teaj. Of course they are adept at traditional hair styling as well,  a beard trim, an old-school straight razor shave, a classic haircut or a whole new look, Teaj does them all.

It is Teaj’s mission to be all-inclusive and create a welcoming and safe space where everyone feels accepted, respected, and free to express themselves.
